Chelsea legend Michael Essien observed Indonesia's Independence Day on Thursday by going to detainees of the Lapas Sukamiskin Prison.
Indonesia, previous Dutch province, celebrated 72 years of freedom.
Essien, who plays for Persib, took to online networking to salute the indonesians.
At the jail camp, he appreciated the panjat pinang diversion interestingly – an game where men in groups of 4 attempt to move to the highest point of a lubed shaft called a panjat pinang keeping in mind the end goal to recover prizes fixing to the best in Indonesia.
As indicated by Heru, a jail officer at the passageway said Essien entered wearing a dark coat and a blue cap.
"I thought it's another player (Ezechiel Ndouassel) however it's Essien. He's littler than in TV," he told Heru.
